Ibaraki Prefecture Tour Bus Subsidy Programme 2025
Ibaraki Prefecture will provide subsidies to travel agencies that create and operate inbound travel, including excursions and overnight stays within the prefecture if all of the following required conditions are met.

1. Terms & Conditions
- 【Terms】

- ①The tour must visit at least one or more tourist sites within the prefecture.
- ②An overnight stay at the hotel or an accommodation facility within the prefecture.
- ③Tours must include at least 10 or more customers traveling from overseas.
* Excludes tour operators/Company Employees - * Up to one vehicle per trip is eligible. However, if buses operated within Ibaraki Prefecture are used, up to three vehicles may be eligible.
- 【Subsidy Amounts】

One of the following monetary amount will be subsidized for each trip.(If the budget limit is reached, the program may end before the scheduled period.)
- ①1 or 2 sightseeing destinations : 50,000 yen
- ②3 or 4 sightseeing destinations and dining facilities : 100,000 yen
- ③Touring 3 or more sightseeing destinations(including 1 dining facility)and accommodation of 2 nights or more in the prefecture : 200,000 yen
2. Application Period
Eligibility: Tour buses /travels conducted before January 31, 2026(Saturday). To qualify for the program, you must return to your home country by January 31, 2026(Saturday).
3. Important Notice
- ①Before applying, we recommend that you consult with the secretariat regarding whether the content of the tour itinerary is applicable to the conditions for the issuance.
- ②It is possible to apply from the travel guide that arranges the tour, but duplicate applications from the travel agency that organizes the tour and the travel guide that arranges the same tour are not permitted.
- ③The maximum subsidy amount is limited to a total of 1 million yen per travel agency organizing the tour during the appropriate time frame.
- ④Subsidies are awarded from a set budget. Once the budget has been used, no further subsidies will be awarded, even to tours which meet all requirements.
- ⑤As a general rule, overlapping use with other financial aid programs is not permitted.
- ⑥ Golf clubs are classified as tourist facilities. However, dining facilities that are part of accommodation venues or those within golf clubs are not considered tourist dining facilities for this classification. Additionally, facilities that are visited solely for purposes such as restroom breaks will not be counted as sites that have been visited.
- ⑦Even if several buses are used for groups of 20 or more people, they will be considered one trip if the schedule and itinerary are the same.However, if you are using buses based in Ibaraki Prefecture, up to three buses per trip can be eligible.
* Please note that you should contact the bus companies in Japanese. Additionally, since October to November is a busy season in Japan, we recommend making inquiries as early as possible. - ⑧The subsidy will be paid in yen. The applicant are responsible for the overseas remittance fee and other personal expenses.
- ⑨If the subsidy is received through fraudulent procedures or other misconduct, the subsidy must be returned at the discretion of the secretariat.
- ⑩Please prepare documents to be submitted to the secretariat in Japanese, English, Chinese(simplified and traditional), Korean, Thai or Vietnamese.
- ⑪The subsidy is only available when using a bus company that has a license to operate a chartered bus.
